They are lovely shoes. The only issue is that the backs dig into my ankles slightly. That could be my fault for walking to work in them with out wearing them in. But time will tell.

This is my second pair of these great shoes. I wanted to try this style as it is more weather proof. I also love the red. I have worn these for long walks and to the gym. They are great. They hug your foot and give great heel and arch support. Almost like a barefoot feel but better. They are also very light. I have a ton of shoes of all kinds, and these my two pairs of Rbutus are my go to for any athletic activity.

I like the look of the shoe and the snug fit. At first it felt a bit on the tight side but since it's so stretchy it actually works. I really like how easy they are to slip on and off. I haven't worn them in the rain yet but they don't look like they are actually waterproof all around, just the bottom. No problems for stepping in puddles but rain will most likely still get your feet wet.
I also found that the back of the shoe rubs my heel a lot. I was wearing ankle socks which don't come up that high, I'm hoping they either work in or I might have to wear full socks with them which would put a real damper on the look of the shoe.

These shoes are attractive - they look like just like they do on the website. I have only worn them a handful of times, but those were for long days on my feet at work, during which they were comfortable and seem to be easy to clean. I have given them 4 stars because they did initially rub the back of my foot significantly (because the back of the shoe comes up so high and curves inward). I put in heel inserts, so that the back of the shoe does not come up quite so high, and have been wearing them with socks that are higher than the back of the shoe - this seems to have solved the rubbing issue. In short, a really nice shoe that is comfortable, but will really rub the back of your foot without some preventative measures.

My new shoes fit very well, and they were comfortable right out of the box. I really like that they are offered in women’s half sizes because that meant I could get a better fit than with other shoes. I bought them because they look great, but also so that I can walk more safely on the mossy sidewalks in my neighbourhood. They are great for that. I don’t skid around anymore, and I feel much more secure on wet days.

I REALLY wanted to like these. They were comfortable when I tried them on.
Going for walks or bike rides is another matter. On the first walk, they caused blisters where the fabric hugs the top of my toes.
Going for a bike ride in a light sprinkle in 12 degree Celsius weather, my feet quickly got soaked, especially the front half of my feet. Even canvas sneakers perform better for me in the rain.
Everyone’s feet are different, so your mileage may vary. But I cannot recommend them.

The shoes color isn't quite what I had expected. I thought it was simply black with perhaps a hint of grey but in the sunlight it's more of a dark blue color. I should have went with red. When I first put the shoe on it felt too small being that I'm 10.5, I was considering exchanging for a size up instead. But I decided to stick with them and aside from the color thing.. wasn't bad of a decision. Still though.. maybe I should have. So this is my overall opinion about this shoe. I should have gone with red lol.

Recently purchased the Rhbutus EL in Navy and I couldn’t be happier! The shoes fit like you’re putting on water shoes but even easier to pull off when you’re on the go - they fit like a glove. Definitely perfect for any occasion even on colder days. I’d suggest looking for a full size to half a size up for the best comfort achieved! Will definitely be looking forward to a new pair in the future!

I like the look of the shoe and it does a good job of keeping my feet dry when walking the dog in the rain. But the back part of the shoe is uncomfortable on my heel/ankle and results in blisters on the back of my foot. I can now only wear these if I wear two pairs of shoes to prevent new blisters. Definitely not what I wanted for sneakers I planned to wear everyday.

Very well-supported sneakers. I immediately noticed the built-in arch support. Nice for slip-on shoes. Have yet to try out the waterproofing, but am confident they'll be great. Definitey a snug fit - so if you're between sizes, order a size up. Quite stylish. I really like the red accent on these navy shoes.

The shoe is great looking, nice and light the color is great. The things I don't like is one, where the laces meet after a while hurts its pushing down on the top of my foot it leaves a mark. The laces needs to meet in a different location like on the side or more padding underneath the laces. The second, the stitching is coming off and I have worn them only twice but the looks of the shoes are so awesome I can over look that issue but the laces I can't cause it makes me not want to wear them. I'm thinking about order another pair one size bigger just to see if that will resolve that issue, so I hope.

After purchasing two pair of Stnleys, which are very comfortable, I have bought another model, Rbutus EL.
These shoes are nice to see, seem well made to me and fit nicely around my ankles. Their noses are however quite long, I could easily miss a cm (or two?) in length.
They still are fine to use because they're so stretchy, but as I also meant to use them wearing a dress and thin socks or panties for example, I dó need to improvise.

These are my second pair of Rbutus EL . Skye is a great company to do business with . Their service is as customer friendly as their shoes are Ecco friendly . As far as the Rbutus shoe goes , it is the most comfortable and versatile shoe I have ever owned . They stand up to the elements and their avant-garde style enables them to be worn in many situation . I have a bad knee and not having laces that I have to bend or crouch makes a big difference to my comfort . They are easy to put on and take off but hold your foot secure without pressure. I find that they are like walking barefoot but with the security of foot protection and dry feet . They clean up quickly if dirt or mud gets on them . I plan to purchase the waterproof model when available . Over the years I have seen , tried or purchase shoes that tried out of the box designs promising comfort . Most fell way short . Skye has a great product that delivers on its promise with a quality team that stands behind their product and customers . A+++

I am 74 and have plantar fasciitis. It is very painful. Shoe inserts help, but my Skye shoes are so comfortable and fit so perfectly that I have much less pain over all. No pain whatsoever when walking in these shoes. They conform to your feet with sturdy stretchable fabric that is water resistant. I have had many people ask about the shoes and one of my doctors vowed as soon as she saw them to buy some. My only complaint would be that some of the style that I want to buy are already sold out. I would surely buy more when they are replenished! I have 3 pair of sneakers (ivory, red and blue) and a pair of the waterproof boots for the winter. I hesitant to wear any other shoes because these shoes make my feet VERY happy!

I love, love, LOVE the look of this shoe. Though it runs about one size small, I also love the snug fit. I wore it for a 14 hour shift and the bottom of my foot did not ache at all as it usually does, and I felt so comfortable walking around the hospital. Unfortunately, the only reason I will not be able to wear it as much as I'd like to is, by the end of the day my Achilles tendon was so sore from it rubbing against that top piece at the back of the shoe that I was limping. I wish that back part did not curve in so much-then this shoe would be absolutely perfect.

I came close to coercing my teenaged son into trying these. He refuses to shop for shoes and clothing. He has wide feet and a high instep, so I was somewhat concerned about the fit. I was interested in these sneakers because of they were touted as being water repellent, providing arch and heel support, antimicrobial, and comfortable for all day wear.
He could tell, as soon as he slipped them on, the noticeable support and the ease with which they slipped over his feet.
I haven't heard any complaints from him.
